Privacy Policy

In short: we use Vercel Analytics to count page views and understand which content is useful. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no ads, no data sales, and no tracking you across other sites.

What we collect

We use Vercel Analytics to record aggregated, anonymized page-view data:

• Pages you visit on this site and roughly how long you spend on them
• How you arrived (search engine, direct link, referring site)
• Approximate location at the country level (derived from IP, never stored as a precise address)
• Device and browser type (e.g. "iPhone, Safari" — not a unique fingerprint)

We do not collect your name, email, precise IP address, or any other information that could identify you personally. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies or store anything in your browser's local storage. It does not assign a persistent identifier to you.

Why we collect it

Three reasons: to know which articles people actually read, to find pages that load slowly or break, and to understand whether the site is reaching the audience we wrote it for. That's it. We're not building marketing funnels or retargeting anyone.

How to opt out

Two options, either of which works:

• Use an ad-blocker like uBlock Origin or Brave's built-in shields — these typically block analytics scripts by default.
• Enable "Do Not Track" in your browser. Vercel Analytics respects this signal and skips the page view when DNT is enabled.

Because we don't use cookies, there's nothing for you to clear or a consent banner to dismiss. If you've blocked the analytics script once, no follow-up action is required.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not set any cookies. It does not write to localStorage or sessionStorage. Vercel Analytics is intentionally cookieless.

Data retention

Aggregated analytics data is retained in Vercel for the duration of our account with them. Individual page-view records are not tied to identifiers and cannot be queried back to a specific visitor.

Third parties

The only third party with access to analytics data is Vercel, as the provider of Vercel Analytics and the hosting platform for this site. Vercel's handling of this data is governed by their own privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not run any other tracking pixels, social-media trackers, advertising networks, or marketing automation tools.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes — for example, adding a new analytics tool or changing what data is collected — we'll update the "last updated" date above and, if practical, surface the change on the site.
