Polymarket operates on the Polygon blockchain, with prices set by peer-to-peer order matching between $0.00 and $1.00. In December 2025, Polymarket launched a separate US-regulated platform under CFTC oversight following its acquisition of the QCEX exchange. The two products operate independently: Polymarket International retains its global deep liquidity, while Polymarket US ramps invite-only access — and the two often quote different prices on identical questions, a structural arbitrage opportunity that exists nowhere else.
